Pay as you go upgrades

As with a contract you can now upgrade most uk pay as you go phones without the expense of buying unneeded credit. as long as you have a pay as you go sim card which is 6 months old and is being used you can upgrade for the advertised cost of a phone, here follows the network terms on this service:

Prepay Upgrades T&C's

Each network has their own terms and conditions for when a customer can upgrade on prepay which are listed below. If the customer does not meet all of the listed criteria the upgrade check will fail and the customer will not be eligible for an upgrade. 

Virgin

• It must be 6 months since joing Virgin Mobile or 6 months since last upgrade. 
• Customer must have used number in the last 90 days to make a chargable event.
• The amount of credit on the number and time since last top-up is irrelevant. 

Vodafone

• It must be 6 months since joining Vodafone or 6 months since last upgrade.
• The customer must have made at least 3 out-going activities within the last 3 months.

T-Mobile

• It must be 9 months since joining T-mobile or 9 months since last upgrade.
• A chargable event must have occured on the number at any time.

Orange

• It must be 6 months since joining Orange or 6 months since last upgrade.
• A top-up must have been applied within the last 6 months.

O2

• Upgrades due immediately once a chargable event has occured.
